Clearing Log Files

Clearing the redo log files is usually the first remedy used in repairing a damaged instance ; it's the equivalent of dropping and re-adding each file.

SELECT * FROM v$log ;


ALTER DATABASE CLEAR LOGFILE 'filename' ;
